Sustainability speeds ahead with latest Firestone Firehawk tire

NASHVILLE- -Bridgestone Americas Inc’s pursuit of more sustainable is picking

up speed with the Firestone Firehawk race tires designed for this year’s runningof the Indianapolis 500.

This year, the Nashille-based tire maker will produce more than 5,000 FirestoneFirehawk IndyCar racing tires that incorporate two monomers-bio-styrene and butadiene- sourced from waste residue of palm oil processing. Both have beencertified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) forsupply chain transparency and traceability.
